the practice behind the projects.
about
Architecture has always been, for me, an act of understanding.
Long before drawings or materials are discussed, every project begins with people. Their stories, routines, aspirations, and ways of living become the foundation from which every design decision grows. It is a privilege to be invited into that process, and one I never take for granted.
I founded Studio Raiffe with the belief that architecture should be personal, collaborative, and deeply connected to its context. Rather than pursuing a recognizable style, our work is guided by the conviction that every project deserves its own architectural language, one that reflects the people who inhabit it, the place in which it belongs, and the time in which it is created.
studio
Studio Raiffe is an architecture and interior design practice based in Morristown, NJ, working throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Florida, Colorado, and beyond.
Our work spans custom residences, renovations, additions, hospitality, multifamily housing, development, commercial projects, art installations, and more. While the scale and program of each commission may differ, every project is approached with the same curiosity, discipline, and attention to detail.
Whether designing a private residence or a large hospitality development, our objective remains unchanged: to create architecture that is meaningful, enduring, and inseparable from the people and places that inspired it.
adam raiffe
Adam Raiffe is the founder and principal of Studio Raiffe. His work is shaped by a lifelong interest in architecture, art, history, and the ways thoughtful design influences everyday life.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from the New Jersey Institute of Technology before completing a Master of Architecture at the University of Miami, where he studied under Dean Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk. His education was further enriched through studies in Italy under Adib Cure and others, experiences that reinforced an appreciation for architecture rooted in place, history, and craft.
Today, Adam is licensed to practice architecture in multiple states, and is NCARB certified. In addition to professional practice, he has taught university-level design studios, mentoring future designers through the same collaborative and iterative process that defines the work of his studio.
Rather than developing a signature aesthetic, Adam's approach is centered on careful listening, thoughtful observation, and the belief that architecture should emerge from a genuine understanding of each client and project.
